It's A Doggie Dog World is committed to providing the best grooming service possible by offering one on one attention to each pet, quality grooming and only the best grooming and bathing products.
It's A Doggie Dog World wants your pet to feel comfortable in a low stress, friendly environment. We have created the following guidelines so you can help us maintain this environment.
****WE REQUIRE CURRENT RABIE CERTIFICATE FOR ALL DOGS SEEING THE GROOMER FOR BATHS, GROOMING OR NAIL CLIPPING.****
We book appointments in time blocks. Most pets in good condition require 1.5 hours to wash, dry and give a haircut. Additional time is required for pets with matted or tangled coats. (Can you get a comb through the entire coat to the skin easily)
The groomer needs this time to maintain a level of safety in badly matted pets and/ or to try and save the coat if possible. Please inform us of the condition of your pets coat when scheduling an appointment.
If your are requesting Shedless, hot oil treatments, or have a medicated shampoo that needs to soak on your pet, please let us know as these also need extra time.
Please make sure your dog does not have fleas before making your appointment. We also require all dogs to be current on a flea program such as Frontline or K9 Advantix.
To check for fleas, use a hair dryer to separate the coat and look for a pepper-like specks. Please check thoroughly as fleas are elusive. Above the tail, armpits and heads are the best place to find them.
We do not use pesticides and are not equipped to kill fleas so bringing fleas into the shop will put other dogs at risk and will create a stressful environment for the groomer and the pet.
A courtesy email reminder, phone call or text will be sent up to 36 hours prior to your appointment time. On rare occasions, our groomer may need to cancel appointments due equipment failure, power outages, family emergencies, etc. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance.
It's A Doggie Dog World must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment of any cancellations.
Leaving a message on the business answering machine is sufficient. This allows us time to try to
book a replacement for your vacated appointment.
Failure to call in advance or failure to have your pet available for the grooming services scheduled may result in a charge of $25 which must be paid prior to your next appointment.
Service may be terminated for repeated cancellations without 24 hr. notice.
Late and No Shows:
If unforeseen circumstances cause us to be late, we will call and make arrangements for a later
discharge. Please be sure to provide us with a cell phone or home number where you can be
reached in case we are late. Pets are expected to be picked up as scheduled. If you cannot make
the agreed upon time, please call and allow us to alter our schedule accordingly.
Estimated Completion Time:
Every effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly. A typical pet(s) groom
can be completed in 1.5 to 2.0 hours from the time of your appointment. If your pet(s) has behavior
issues or skin and coat problems you may be looking at a longer period of time. If you need your
pet(s) returned by a certain time please let us know prior to the groom. We are happy to work with
you as much as possible, but repeated calls to check on the readiness of your pet(s) only causes
Refusal of Service & Aggressive Dogs:
It's A Doggie Dog World has the right to refuse service for the following reasons:
Pet(s) will not be groomed if not safe or too large or heavy to handle.
Your pet's safety, comfort and well-being are our outmost concern. Your pet(s) will be groomed by
our trained professional groomers in the style you have requested. We reserve the right to alter or
cease any grooming in the event that our staff determines it is in your pet's best interest or your pet
displays aggressive behavior. Customer understands that It's A Doggie Dog World has the right to refuse
service to Customer's pet(s) at any time for any reason. Customer also understands that all bites
will be reported to the local authorities as required by law. The client may be charged the price of
Drop off and pickoffs:
Please make sure to drop off your pet promptly for your appointment time. To keep one-on-one atmosphere, we ask that you pick up your pet as soon as he/she is finished with grooming.
Bath & Brush includes bath, blow dry, nail clip, ear cleaning
Grooming includes breed specific cut, bath, blow dry, ears & nails
